Como muy bien indicaban mis lectores Ángel y Fede en sus comentarios a mi anterior artículo, la Royal Mail Británica puso a la venta el nueve de enero de este mismo año una colección de sellos de los Beatles.

La serie única de estampas reproduce seis álbumes: With The Beatles, Sgt Pepper´s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Help!, Abbey Road, Revolver y Let It Be.

Aquí podéis ver cada sello con todo detalle.

De todos modos, no son los únicos sellos de los Beatles que se pueden conseguir en Royal Mail, donde también tienen sobres.

Al teléfono

Recientemente en la presentación de iPhone, el nuevo teléfono de Apple, sonó Lovely Rita, tema del álbum Sgt. Pepper´s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Como curiosidad al respecto de Lovely Rita, os comentaré que esta canción tuvo gran influencia en la “confirmación” del rumor de la muerte de Paul. Y todo porque habla de una guardia de tráfico (hoy sería agente de movilidad), a la cual estaría mirando Paul justo antes de tener el accidente de tráfico en el que murió. La realidad, claramente muy distinta, es que Paul se la dedicó a una policí que le puso una multa injusta a su juicio.

Y cuando aún estamos empezando a disfrutar de Love, el último disco Beatle, parece que Paul McCartney quiere grabar Now and Then, una canción que compuso Lennon, que quedó incompleta y que Harrison no quiso que se incluyese en Anthology por no considerarla lo suficientemente buena.

La idea sería que Paul hiciese los coros sobre una grabación que contiene la voz de Lennon como principal, lo que supondría volver a oírles cantar juntos.

Ringo, en su línea, no se ha pronunciado al respecto.
